its not that ALL products comign out of China have quality problems. its the proven fact that China's quality control standards are essentially non-existent so its a crap shoot as to whether the item with last or not. Quality control is literally not part of their business models in their culture. Why? because the labor is so cheap, they can roll off more and it becomes an odds problem at that point.

Exactly! The brand name products that are made in China are usually better quality. There's a little more quality control on our end. Some things do slip through the cracks. I looked through 5 sets of console plates at 3 vendors at the Nats a few years ago. All were made in China from the same factory. They all had the same blob of metal in the same place. I hope by not buying them the suppliers got ahold of the maker and the problem got fixed.
