date codes on 915 heads

This has probably been asked before. I have a set of heads I just got both have a 915 casting number. One head has what looks like 12570 date the other has a 02460 number the second set of numbers has me confused. any help would be appreciated.

That helps.

Your first 'O' is actually a casting of the screw head holding the casting date tag in place in the mold.

So your heads are dated;

The 246th day of 1970 & the 257th day of 1970.

1971 model year for both.
