Hello All.
I removed the guts and would like to plug up the holes.
Question is what do you fellow FABO members do to plug them up?
The removed bushing has an approximate OD of .525
Thanks in advance,
Happy Mopar :)

I don't know what other people use (besides cast iron welding) but I would use water pipe plugs. But you need a pipe thread tap. Pipe plugs are made of cast iron so the expansion rate will be the same as the cast manifold. Treblig

Back in the day when I was young and ignorant (not young any more) we would put bolts & nuts in them. Interferes with the exhaust flow some.

I just use the stud that came out.

Sure it's not true free flow, but it's 100% better than a stuck closed butterfly.

...and it's the right size!

Stove bolts from the inside is what I do with those.
(Fairly flat rounded head)

There is a product called JB Weld Extreme Heat that might work well for this issue.

Some are you have to be careful. Some are steel and you can also get brass. LMAO for that matter you can get PLASTIC ones

I imagine that brass would also work, not sure how long plastic would last??? LOL

Tap and thread in whatever your favorite flavour bolt or plug is.
A tack weld will keep it from threading out.
This is where pipe plugs work the best.

Exactly. The smartest and easiest thing to do and it will last forever. Just find the next size NPT plug and tap it to that size, put some high temp RTV on the threads and plug 'er up.
