I've had good fit and seal with the Softseal stuff. It has been the best of any so far. I also carefully use the black 3M Super Weatherstrip adheasive, so I don't see any yellow( the other color available).
Regarding the metallic, avoid it if you can. It takes good technique to get right(even and consistent ) the first time, and it's very hard to touch up or repair so you can't see the difference if you need to.
