Comparing Rocket fuel polished to Vision 5 legend chrome

Here's something to consider for chromed wheels:
Several years ago we purchased a new car with chromed factory wheels. After several years we had one wheel/tire that developed a slight leak. It turned out that the chrome on the wheel surface inside the tire had started to deteriorate and flake off due to the moisture that accumulated inside the tire. The flaking eventually spread to the bead surface and wouldn't allow the tire to fully seat on the bead.
We ended up replacing all four factory wheels with aftermarket polished aluminum wheels in order to eliminate the problem.

My thought was that a polished rim can always be repolished and because there is no chrome finish to hold liquid corrosion should be held at a minimum.
