I ordered a sharktooth grill for my 71 Scamp and it arrived today and it looks spectacular! Except apparently when assembled 2 of the screws and nuts from the parking lights weren't tightened, and came loose and they were rolling all over. The upper part of the front has some minor scratches. If I didn't pay what I did it wouldn't bother me so much. Debating whether I should call for a replacement, but will it be worse?

I would definitely bring it to their attention. If for no other reason than to point out the lack of quality control.

Now how about a pick of the entire grill?! :)

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Call them. Email them pictures. Make them give you a little money back, but keep what you have. That will literally buff out.

For the price tag, AND their shipping prices, that should have arrived flawless! Definetly worth contacting them over!

I'm not sure about it buffing out, but it won't be noticed easily where it is. It just bugs me they could ship it like that and I ll always now it's there! You would think a part that expensive would be checked out better. But otherwise it looks fine!

Is it painted? Try some of that color matching wax.

Yes it's painted. I'm going to call tomorrow and see what they say. The car won't be going out soon anyway, it's garaged and it's winter here in eastern Pennsylvania.

I guess it depends on the level to which you're building the car. If it's going to be perfect enough to warrant you spending that kind of money on that grille, maybe you should get them to send another.

Well I guess they monitor this website since they called me. The woman that called was more than pleasant and apologetic. I'll just leave it at this, they are taking care of it!

I had a similar issue with Classic Industries. An expensive, highly visible part had an unacceptable appearance. I'd saved, waited for a sale, and finally pulled the trigger. So I was pretty unhappy when I saw it. I called, and they were happy to work with me. I proposed something that would satisfy me, and they agreed. I encountered no resistance at all. I'm satisfied with the part, and very pleased with the customer service.
