Here's the ad.

[SOLD] - New 440 torker 2 intake

You can clearly see the crack in his pictures. Have you contacted him first, before burning him here? He MAY have missed it. Accidents do happen.

Looks noticeable in his ad.

Yes, very much so. But lets not throw him under the bus yet. We've only heard one side of the story here. Has the OP contacted badlilred? All we know is what we've been told and what we can see in the pictures. badlilred has been a straight up member for a long time, so lets at least give him the benefit of the doubt and give him a chance to respond and handle this accordingly.

How many times in the past have we all jumped on the dog pile and then found out we were mistaken? I know I am guilty.

can't it be welded back up? If that's the extent of the damage, it looks like it wouldn't be that hard for a welder to fix. I mean it's not a total loss, just try to minimize the damage and move on. Talk to the seller, and maybe you two could split the cost to fix. Just a suggestion by an uninvolved third party.

My point being is badlilred did not hide it, was shown. But new is new too. Looks like the manifold was used to take out an engine.

I agree 100%. But, as I said, it's "possible" he may have missed it. I know I have done some stupid things before by just not paying attention. We're all human.

I contacted seller. Via message. He said to show damage. I explained I can’t send him pictures for whatever reason on my iPhone in the messenger. I explained like you guys noticed. He could actually use his own pictures. No reply. Sent another message. No reply. I sent a ? Mark. He sent a ? Mark.
Yes I I am human and also may make mistakes and overlook. This isn’t by any means an excuse but being diagnosed with ms comes with it’s awesome affects. (Optic nerve damage) making my left eye very dodgy. I read the title. “New intake” “never run” .. the small thumbnail pictures looked fine. So I hurried to make a deal before someone else did Been on this website forum for a while. With a lot of help from other guys and or gals. Just figured I’d share my experience. Obviously I’m out. It is what it is. It’s stuff like this that makes it hard to use these sites and trust anyone for anything As minuscule as it may be to some It’s still shady

You took the right steps, how did you pay?

Are trying to send pictures through a PM or messenger through FB?

You have to be a Gold member to send pictures here through a PM.

The messenger on this site. No not a gold member. Almost became one and was going to donate for sure. But after this now I think I’ll have to pass

Pay pal. I won’t go on about it much more. Not going to talk a bunch of trash or anything. Just wanted to share my experience is all. I have 150 nx plate setup. That crack does me no good with the extra stress of nitrous
If he doesn’t wanna make it right, dispute the charges to PayPal you don’t have much time.

How deep is that hole. If it has several threads below the crack you won't have any problem with your nitrous plate.

I sent badlittle red a link to this thread

I won’t be sending the intake back. I don’t want to go through the hassle of sorting out shipping to send it back and so on if I were to get a refund

as you can see in picture I took with stud in it. There’s about 3-4 thread left before the bottom of stud bottoms out. Leaving the shoulder of the stud just above the plain for the intake It’s probably possible for me to drill it a bit deeper and cut my own threads, but that leaves the chance if something going wrong. My motor skills are not what they used to be. Would if just fixed the intake I have if that was the case. Thought I was getting a deal.

Any good welder can fix that at the sellers expense.

That intake is worth every dime that you paid for it. If you don't want to keep it relist it for what you have in it somebody will buy it.

But mention the crack.

Don't feel like you are the first one. I bought a hood, he sent me pictures and somehow he missed where it was hit on leading edge, $250.00 wasted .
