So I guess I took the year off..... out of guilt or just to add to the BT/Done that list we loaded up a basically new untested combo and made the long pull to Tucson for the Hangover Nationals. Little did I know the monster I had created. First release of the trans brake at a subtle 3500rpm sent the nose of the car skyward.... like way too skyward.... like buzz the crap out of the engine watching the wall not the shift light kind of deal. Interesting! Was rewarded with 2 1.24 60 times and the rest 1.25 throughout the weekend with the exception of a couple 1.33 (back tires). Made a few adjustments and seemed to calm it some (don’t want to be the next wheelie douch ) but I may be adding wheelie bars to the “to do” list. Ran a best of 5.91 and the carb still wasn’t right.... Hurt the trans so it’s out of the car again and parts are on the way. Was my fault as I’m sure I overlooked the kick down adjuster was most likely not seated properly into the seat on the band.... huge rookie mistake! Looking forward to getting this thing sorted out again!
