A few compatibility questions.

The combination im loosely thinking of for my 73 Duster:
Most probably a stock shortblock 318Magnum but a 360magnum might do if i find one for the right money at the right time and place.
The thought is to create a lowbuck fun combination that i can build on over time and do right at some later point in the future, this car has been parked forever and i care more about getting it rolling with alitle extra power and attitude than it being done perfectly right.
Eq318B heads
alitle more cam, maybe hydraulic roller around 220-225 or [email protected] to get some attitude.
1 7/8" TTI headers and Airgap LA intake either EFI or a old 750proform or 800 Edelbrock i got left over
3200Rpm converter and 904trans.
3.21 or 3.91gears got both but the later should be a whole lot more fun.

Yeah i know both carb options are terrible a 600-650 would probably be a whole lot better on a 318 but i will make it work good enough given some time.

Will it be a missmatch? yeah probably, will it sound cool and put me back in the seat alitle when i want it to? yup it will probably be good enough for me for a while then i can build a better suited shortblock later.
Why i would put that kind of cam in such a mild engine? i was ruined by larger cams in 340s and will probably be dissapointed if its not atleast alitle rough around the edges.
The idea with the EQ heads is that those will put me alitle ahead of the game, since they would give alitle more power, would let me save alitle money on the intake and its an upgrade i would do later on anyway and therefore smarter to do now instead of getting a new intake to suit the stock magnum heads when i already have a good intake.

Feel free to critiqe my plan.
