I'm looking for a good reference picture of a 273 with a 4bbl, without the air cleaner, with a carter AFB and the original divorced choke design. I cant seem to find an original choke for the 4bbl for the 65..

It might be a few months before I can get back into storage, I may have one.

The chokes are the same. What did you want to see? Obviously, I do not have Kickdown linkage.

The 2bbl choke is different than the 4bbl, I have the intake true to 65, but the carb runs into the choke housing. I see from the picture it's a flat plate design. I need a part number seeing as how I cannot find a correct part number for the correct 65 choke

That is the right part number, and yes, that is what they are going for. Your 65 AFB choke should supersede to that number. What carb are you running?

Factory part number for the choke is 2468738 auto or manual for 65/66 273-4

I found a 3615S, which is for a 64 383/413. Its specs ~625 cfm vs 500 cfm.
I was able to find a 3854S but unable to obtain yet. But the 3615 and 3854 use the same bolt pattern, just slightly larger internals. I found a couple part numbers.. 2468738/170ba-817s

The secondary butterflies may open with that carb on a 273 intake but the secondaries probably won't open fully. The 273 carb has small butterflies and corresponding holes in the intake. The big block carbs are larger.

What combination do you have? Intake? Original Carb? Looking for a choke assembly?

The original carb for a 65 273-4 would have been 3853S (manual) 3854S (auto)

And the correct intake for a 1965 is a # 2465726.

I forgot I had this book. The correct choke# is 2468738

3615s is from a 413 Chrysler automatic trans. I know it will bolt on but, as the guys above have mentioned, check it to make sure the throttle blades will open. The 273 carb also has a velocity valve on the secondaries to keep it from bogging and is jetted perfectly for a 273. The 3615s might be too rich. As for the choke, they also used them on four barrel marine engines also from 64-67 AFB carbs?

I have some pictures without the air cleaner, in the car. This is a 67 273-4, non-CAP, auto.

I appreciate all the replies and validation of the numbers I have.
To start, my 65 dart is all original.
I have tracked down a 2465726 intake manifold, thank you Frank.
I work at O'Reilly, I can source parts. I found a 3615S through a Tomco pt # 4-99. I got 3 different numbers including a 4122, a 3615, and a 4612. I went with the 3615, it has the same secondary configuration, choke as the 3854. Slight increase on cfm and fuel will be of course compensated when i have the heads reworked as well as the dual exhaust.
So I need a 4bbl choke 65 to 67 year models, and thank you for coming up with and verifying numbers I have found. I actually came across a online a Carter manual that pinged the 170ba-817s oe carter number, as well as a plethora of carb specs for marine and industrial use Chrysler, and a couple GM's motors.
As of right now, I have a stock 2bbl. I am installing a 65 manifold with a higher cfm carb but I need a stock choke. I have checked the butterflies for interference, the older big block carbs weren't quite as big as the later ones, there are no true cfm specs on these but most advertised in the muscle car era were 650-700, these being slightly smaller, early 60s was a coming of age for performance cars and engines designed for performance, not just running well. I'm only looking to increase hp to the 200-220 hp range with stock setup converted to a 4bbl stock, heads cleaned milled stacked and packed, and dual exhaust.

At this time, I need an air cleaner, a choke, and a week to tear it apart and put it back together.

I do have a set of finned mopar valve covers.

I have thought about changing the cam, still on the fence. I'm looking for a modest gain, this car is light on its feet as it is, and still purrs like a true mopar. I'd like to keep that option open.
If anyone has a 3854S, I can rebuild it. Make me an offer, or I'll return/sell/trade the 3615S I have.

The best thing to do is open a wanted ad here. We all have a carb or two stuck on a shelf somewhere. You may find exactly what you need.

So should I keep my 3615 or find a 3854? I'm still undecided if i want to commit to something that is not a stock replacement.

I put a 600 Edelbrock on mine when I was chasing a rich running issue and it never left. The electric choke works great. I did machine the secondaries on the intake.
