AV gas has additives in it that can be bad for your car. There are stabilizers and such in it that allows it to perform at altitude. Read up on it. We've argued this point before and I was totally lambasted, but it's true. You don't need to run AV gas in your car.

My tech teacher 30 years ago was a retired USAF airplane tech, and a circle track racer (successful in the northeast). He was adamant that we not play with av-gas. Either build an engine right to not need it, or buy the right race fuel for engines that operate at low altitudes. I never had run it. When I needed to I ran various VP products and I'd run them long before avgas.
