when I began the 65 cuda build I was 33 yrs old and 6’4” 285 lbs.... in my “prime”..... 17 years later

6’4 350 lbs .... kinda feels like Sylvester the cat in a gold fish bowl..

Nope, I don't think so!!! You have to remember that every time you wash the car and it dries too quickly it shrinks a little, so you're only partly to blame..:poke:

Either that OR.....you started out as an A body (when you were young) and now you a B body??

Are you trying to suggest he should bathe more often?

lol

I have A, B & C here, so depending on how much my wash & dry cycles affect me, I'll always have a driver that fits. ;-)

My buddy built a over the top E body and decided he couldn't get into it. (Comfortably) He built a 70 Bee and is happy with that. He is about your size but was quite comfortable in my 66 Dart on a 1 1/2 hour trip to a car show. Fit yourself into whatever you fit into.

My A body is a later one and I have trouble, seat all the way back and steering wheel in in my gut. I found a solution.... Tuff wheel !

If you remember the movie- Police academy. Bubba Smith and how he fit into a little
car. LOL!
If not, look it up. plenty of youtube videos out there showing him getting into a car that was too small.

Here is the one I was thinking of.
Good luck and just cut out Bread and sugar. Big help for me!

LOL.....Pretty much what I did.....

Removed rear seat / not to be reinstalled.....

Front seats are relocated 1/2 way into the rear floor board... about 8 inches

I pretty much look out the quarter window

I bolted the front bench seat to some angle iron, then bolted the angle iron to the floor so the seat goes back more...................

early Ramcharger with removable roof ????? :)

As others have said; but I was 5'9/ now at 65 am a wee bit shorter, and now 220 pounds.
I lowered the seat and moved it back, taking the shifter along with it, installed a smaller steering wheel, and the rear seat has been in the rafters since 2004. And my Barracuda is a lowered second gen, lol.
Getting out is not as easy as it was 20 years ago. I might have to un-lower it one day soon. I had to set the alignment with heavychit in the driver's bucket, even with 1.03 bars, lol. It corners different CW than CCW. I like CCW better. I was thinking of removing the passenger seat too, and bolting a couple of hunert pounds there. I can't see me ever losing weight this late in life unless I would get sick, and that just never happens to me.
I guess I'll die someday wearing 38s that I recently graduated into. I was so embarrassed when my sweetie-pie tossed them to me and said; "here try these". More so when they fit, lol. She bought me three more pairs; I love her so much.........Ain't Life grand.....
I wonder how heavy Adam got to be...... or Noah. I used to wonder about Moses, but after 40 years of walking in the desert, dining on manna and water, I supposed that those guys were mostly skin and bones.Well except for Josh and Caleb I guess, lol.

The one issue I have with the 66 I have is I replaced the windshield and even with the seat moved back and adjusted as low as it will go the new windshield has that dang green tint right at my eye level.
I’m 6’0” and only 195lbs. Not huge but I feel larger than the average consumer in 1966 for sure.

Does anyone have a lead on a replacement front windshield with No blue/green tint at the top?
I would change mine in a heart beat. The green lower edge is right in my line of site. It sucks. Raise the seat and I’m looking thru the tint which stinks for night time driving.

Have you removed the 5/16" spacers from under the seat tracks?

That's the first thing I do in every Mopar I get.

My line of sight is just under the visor ( I wish it was at the tint line), and my hair rubs the headliner if I don't remove those spacers.

One thing nice about my 66 buckets is the adjustable bases. I don't know what years had those and if bench seats had that as well. I installed nylon bushings on the seat back stops so the back sits more upright. I have driven it on a 4 hour trip comfortably. In fact my 66 with buckets is more comfortable to drive than my 70 Swinger with a bench seat.

Wish I still had hair to rub the headliner.:lol:

68 Barracuda notch at 16 years old 6' tall and I weighed 145lb, 40 years later 69 Barracuda fastback at 175lb. Still plenty of room

That poor JDM spec'd AN600 got ruined in that episode.....I owned one and used to drive a 350lb guy to school in the back, took the entire seat. He got in one day and popped a rear tire!

Some "smaller" cars have more interior room than larger cars.

I fit MUCH better in my 73 Duster with fiberboard headliner than in most full size cars from the 1980s through today.

I have plenty of headroom in my wife's 2004 hyundai elantra.
MUCH more than a new Charger or Challenger.

Can't tell you. I'm 5'10" 190 and I fit fine, but I can tell you that I am as big as will fit a Miata comfortably. My younger son (almost 6', 180-ish) did not fit the Mazda well at all...
