People you want to meet from FABO but are to elusive or to far?

How about Karl @krazykuda . Great guy, met him at the winter Swap meet at the Dodge dealer. (can't remember the name of the place)
Yes! Ditto anyone who worked at a Chrysler plant back in the day! That is a must.
By the way, How many members worked at Ma Mopar? One of my dreams in life was to meet some engine assembly line workers from the late 60's. The secrets and stories we would love to hear.

I have met a bunch of members (make that a bushel of bunches) and all these folks are like family to me, I miss my friend Tony Fields, he was the first member to meet, then there was Small Block, then it just kept going from there, I would say the most emotional experience meeting a member was when I met Nella, Cosgig daughter.
The hardest was the flight to go meet @FISHYPETE and @66340SEDAN way up in MN. it was a calling in me to do so.
Drove to Tennessee and met @CudaChick1968 on my way to Monster Mopar at Indy, and so so many more.
I guess there is one member we don't see here anymore is @ramcharger, up in Colorado who just got married last year is on my to do list.
One member I guess I would like to meet is @RustyRatRod , I have been very blessed in life, and this great site has brought me knowledge and gave me many smiles.

Oh, I would like to meet all the Coffee thread folks, I have met one of them :D @Ben Drinkin :thankyou: and one day I will show up at ol @halifaxhops home some time soon :thankyou:

I would like to say that the day Mike mentions when we met atMMW in INDY was nothing short of amazing. From 6pakC, to Tony Fields, 68383GTS Jim, John Morrow, Larry Mayes, gosh, there were so many great members there. But the highlight of the entire weekend, and one of the most touching events of my life was when Nella got to meet her Memike. God was in the air that day, everybody felt it, and when they met and gave each other their first hug, it was nothing short of a miracle, and touched all of our hearts very deeply. My only regret would be that Leanna was not there also. She was supposed to come but couldn’t make it, so if I had to pick one single person we would like to meet, it would be Leanna. She is very special to us, and has a very special place in our hearts.

You ask me why I love FABO, and all of you folks so much? It’s times like these that I’ll never forget, and think about every day!

How did you know it was her 15 years ago? Did you casually say, "Hey, haven't I seen you naked here before?" :lol:

Rarely mention it because of that...it was during the dot-bomb, got to talking to them, they're from Scottsdale, we are too...blah blah...what do you do? "We have an internet business". I replied something like, "wow...sorry to hear that, how's it going?" and she said it was going great. I recalled there had been a story in the local paper about the internet **** business in Scottsdale a few months prior...etc. Did some googling and bingo...Said to my wife, 'that's the lady we sat next to on the flight'...

I have met a few a couple of times and even had them as guests at my home signing my FABO visitor metal sign. Have had phone and personal email conversations with several more that I haven’t met in person yet. A bunch more beyond that I would love to meet....too many to list!

There are a many I would really be interested in meeting up with but my bucket list is to the north and to the west.

@Dartnut , @gdrill , and @67Dart273
Also recently @LocuMob

Dartnut because he is a hoarder like me, we have 10+ cars (lol) and buying more because that is what we do. It's enabling knowing I am not the only collector of project cars.

Gdrill because he motivates me to do more with the cars. This guy is a true car guy to the very definition.

67dart270 because again a motivational speaker type lol. When I was new on the site I thought he was the greatest since moses. I had no idea he is an older gent, his posts are that of a young man who won't let the world stop him.

Locumob is someone I have been dealing with, I bought a crap load of model kits from him and he has the same taste in cars and hobby as I do. In fact it's even eerie. When he tells me what his thinking is on cars and car situations, I sit and think, dang this guy is like totally the Male version of me, because I would do a lot of the same things and feel the same way about certain cars. LoL

As far as meeting in person. If it happens it happens. I am not trying to be negative but vacation time is very limited for me and what I do get, i often have to use it to visit family who live far away. I have attempted to get out east for the big events but so far have not been successful, even though it would be nice because I believe the coolest members are definitely not anywhere near here. (Two bad experiences prove that to me)

You rock fabo

Thank you very much Rainy. I'm honored that you feel this way. If my tinkering inspires you, I am even more ecstatic. I love to do this and if it helps anyone, or at least gives motivation, I know it wasn't in vain! You will be more than welcome if you ever make it this far North and West at the same time! Dartnut and I will make sure of that.

As for meeting folks from FABO, I could isolate a few, I have met a few, but I don't think there is one I wouldn't want to meet. I may not be able to drink beer with everyone, (discussions may get warm with 1 or 2! :D), but I would surely have coffee with all of you! FABO is my inspiration.

There are so many of you guys (and girls!!) I'd like to meet I could never list 'em all. But at my age and not much money, not much chance of that happenin!!! "If the estate sells" I might make it to a couple of "big" Mopar events before I "go."

Thanks RDA! I've been able to meet the local bunch of misfits at the annual meet n greet hosted by @66340SEDAN, and met @SGBARRACUDA and @Del when I purchased some parts from them. A plane ride and a rental pickup, some time BS'ing, and a story to share, it was great! I've met members from FCBO and FTO, and they have all been a pleasure to deal with, always a good band of folks who help out all they can. I look forward to meeting more members down the road!

I’d like to meet the whole FABO crew but there isn’t enough time for that. Got to say that those I have met are a lot of good memories

Thanks, Tony.
I really enjoyed our visit too, and meeting Knucklehead (not pictured) as well.
For those of you who don't know us, (starting from the left) in the picture is George (gdrill) Tony (Big Dummy) and me (Tom aka Dartnut).
This picture was taken a few years ago and a lot of cars and parts have gone under the bridge since then............lol
They had me stand in a hole so i looked shorter than them too..........lol.

Thanks, Rani.
I would like to meet you and many more on here if i had the time and money to travel.
Your yard would be awesome to see, i consider old car ''junkyards'' or ''collections'' much better than car shows as an entertainment source.
Are we sick in the head to collect these cars and parts?
That's a matter of opinion..........

They lead me to believe there is some kind of goodness in the brisk Canadian air. I also believe heaven is pretty much like Dartnut's yard.
What a nice thing to say, Rani.
Thank You.
I wouldn't go as far to say it's ''Heaven'', to me it's more like a half way house for them until they all get adopted.
(Other than the few that i am keeping of course).

I've met members from all over the country. Couldn't even begin to list all of them, but have been to Mopar shows in Indiana, Minnesota, California, Nevada & Arizona

Have never met a member I didn't like--All Mopar peeps are COOL!!!! :D

@younggun2.0

His fab work is second to none.
I'd love to have a few days with him in the shop.

@j par
I'll buy a case of squirt and you can burn all the wire and rod you want. Plus I wanna run his car.

@hangn0ut

For all his advice when I was setting up pops car.

@AJ/FormS

Just to have him give me entire get down a once over and point out all the crap I've screwed up.

:)

And any one who is in the San Jose bay area that want to come to the shop is welcome.

Would be great if we could all get together at a show. I'm in Florida, and it's great this time of year
