Warning: rocker shaft bolt 15 ft/lbs, 30 is common internet listed mistake! Well, 16.6 ft/lbs to be exact (200 inch/lbs divided by 12 = 16.66). Per 1972 small block Chrysler Factory Service Manual page 9-93:

A free factory service manual can be downloaded from mymopar.com
Make a cheat sheet and tape to tool box.
 
Tighten it up until it breaks and back it off a half turn. :lol:
 
****ROCKER SHAFT SPEC ON SHEET IS WRONG***
Bolts are 5/16 and torque is 200 inch in/lb. Other than that handy list here

Per post #2 and #8 above, I believe the rocker shaft torque listed is incorrect (not 30 ft-lbs and not 3/8" bolts).

As I already stated/warned in post #4, the rocker shaft bolts are only 5/16" and factory torque spec is 200 inch-lbs.
