why would you even bring up the 3% unless you think it would be ok for the both of you to lie to a third party?

and if those headbolts are so cheap, why hasnt your buddy, or who ever feels they should be the bigger man here, bought them and send them?

We are picking on grammar in order to add insults. The deal is bad, who gives a **** about somebodies education.

That may be true, but some of us at least try. I actually go back and correct a lot of my posts. Correct punctuation and paragraphs make it much easier to read.

    A few questions. First what is your location?
    On the heads, what size valves are in them? How much run time do they have on them? Who did the porting work? Would you consider selling only the heads/rockers separate? Ive been looking for a set of heads so I am interested. I dont need any of the other stuff but still woulld be interested in whole lot.

    The heads were freshend last spring only reason for selling them I’m going to W5 heads yes I’ll sell the heads separately

    A few questions before I make this decision, First thanks for the offer I appreciate that. Have the heads ever been milled? I am guessing the valves are 2.02 and 1.6. Have you had the heads since new or bought them from someone? what springs are on the heads?

    The heads are a friend of mines he bought them new they have been cut just to clean them up when we built a new motor has comp springs but don’t remember the number the cam was 256-256 600 600 flat tapper cam

    A few more questions about the heads. Can you get some close up pics of the intake ports / Exhaust ports to see how much they have been touched up? Also i am assuming my TTI headers will bolt up with no issues?
    Very important are the heads drilled for Alt brackets and PS brackets. Can you take pics of the fronts of the heads to show this. With my tight budget i cant afford to make a mistake when buying heads!!

    The heads will take all the stock brackets for the alternator I’ll get him to send me some pictures when he gets off work yes your headers will bolt up

ok, so there is the first part of our conversations that we had on the pm system of the forum. I have to split this into 2 posts since it wont allow me to post it all at once.
I did remove my address from the shipping but other then that this is the exact word for word conversations. I will be finding a way to include our phone texts so every member can see word for word what was talked about.

    Looks like everything should fit and work and heads look ok. i can do my share as discussed at $1300 which if i understand correctly will include the Pair of edelbrock heads with springs and valves, set of crane roller rocker arms on shafts, push rods and set of used headbolts.
    What shipping will you be using? How soon would you be able to ship once payment is made? Will need a tracking number once they are on the way.

    You seem to do a lot of selling heads and appears as though you have your own shop. I have a question to be sure these will work well for me. My build is a 360 stroked to 408. 10.5-1 with a comp solid roller 262 dur @.050 and a .575 lift. TTI headers and will be running an old school TR5 2x4 edelbrock with 600 carbs. 3800 convertor and 4.56 gears 904 built trans. Motor should run to around 7000 rpm. Your thoughts? Thanks and i can do payment anytime so I will wait your feedback.

Just keep the phone numbers and/or e mail addresses private.
 
I don’t see anywhere where the seller asked that the PayPal payment be “friends and family” to avoid the 3%, which would be a mistake to do on the buyers part anyway. Why would he be hanging his hat on the 3%?

Now I want to make sure anyone that ever thinks of dealing with him knows he doesnt stand up to his end of a deal should there be any issues. Maybe it will keep members from dealing with him. Im hoping so!
Toolmanmike, thats what Im trying to remove and I dont see anyway to do that from a text. I dont mind mine being posted and I really dont care about Superbeesrt8's being posted however Im not that kind of person that would do that so Im holding off trying to figure a way!!
I will figure something out as I dont want this guy cheating someone else!
And I want all actual info on the table! not hear say.
Our word on a deal should be our bond, no matter whether part are new or used!

You made your point OP. The transaction will show others that things can happen.. Do I honestly think the seller intended to throw the coals to you? Probably not but this transaction ended up with some drama and it all went down hill from there. Send the parts back and just plan on buying new.....

Did you tell him before the sale that the rockers had been ground on? It's possible he wasn't aware that its common practice, and expected them to be un-modified, regardless of his intentions to maybe sell them.
 
I agree, if the parts were misrepresented in his opinion, and the OP feels totally wronged, just contact the seller for a refund , if not forthcoming, just contact paypal. Or just keep the parts and be HAPPY! So what if it costs a few head bolts!!????
Yes I had to try to remember to proofread my ramblings on here, and be sure to use enough paragraphs else, the grammar police will be on me like ugly on chit. ( Them ugly , me chit). Them I figured I was writing Southern English, which can be just as further from reality as Canadian English!!??? So I try to be a good little old man, I just bit my tongue when NOT telling so and so '" I give a flying ****" !!!!?? lol
 
Not sure how this will work and you may have to copy and paste but here is a video of all the text messages.
as you can see I was very good and patient thru this whole process.
If you look at the texts I never even ask for a dollar amount of money back. My statement to him was "I would think a slight refund adjustment would be in order".
Also the shipping was going to be 50/50 and I actually pd $50 of the $90.22 which was more then half of it.

Have at it Superbeesrt8, as there is nothing hidden everything has been posted. I gave you the chance to be an honest seller, I didnt want to go to this level but you made the choice!
As you can see superbeesrt8 does not deal on the up and up!



To all the members that lived thru this thread, some trashing me at the start (no hard feelings! lol) Im sorry this has been so stretched out. I did not want this but was left with no other way to warn future members about dealing with him. I didnt want a he said/she said so all the communications were needed.

So, just to be clear for me anyway.

You are missing 6 bolts and you received modified parts that you were not aware were modified prior to the transaction? Correct?
