Just got the car back from upholstery and went out to alighn the front end. Car won't shift out of 1st gear. Gen3 hemi, 545rfe transmission. Thoughts anyone? Acts like it's in the limp mode.

If the trans is in limp mode, it’s locks in 3rd.
They didn't run a screw through the floor into the harness did they?
In the 90's I worked for a Chevy dealer and we got a load of conversion vans in and the morons ran the screws through the roof to hold up the headliner, Funniest thing I ever seen screws sticking out of the roof all over the place!

What was the problem
When the engine and transmission were installed (bottom up) in the car the speed sensor got crushed during installation. It looked OK but when the sensor was removed from the transmission you could see what happened. The speed sensor needs to work for the transmission to shift.
