TTI Rust

The power of forums?

Could be,but sometimes you run into bussineses that cares or just that one employee that realy cares recieves your email at some random bussines,it happens from time to time,or just the fact that you actualy did something about the isue instead of just start ranting on a bunch of forums without talking to the company.

Their new tag line should be "They may not look nice for very long, but at least they're expensive."

That sucks man, sorry... I've had pretty good luck with my ceramic Dougs Headers. They're faded a little after 4 years but not rusty. Getting ready to go back in the car again!

The power of forums?

Doubt the forum has anything to do with it. Unless he mentioned it being posted on a forum they wouldn’t even know. They stepped up to take care of a customer is what they did. Good customer service there.

Think I can re-use the gaskets?
They're pretty hefty, not sure once removed.

I too, have nothing but great things to say about customer service and care demonstrated by TTI. I didnt have a coating issue, I had a header made incorrectly that didnt fit. On my word only, Sam from TTI sent me a brand new header to Canada on his dime. Once new header installed properly I returned the original header at TTI's expense.

Ps. Have also had outstanding customer service with Quick Time on my scattershield.

It is great when vendors stand behind their products, and take care of the customer. This often occurs at their expense. It is also very nice to be taken seriously when you tell them there is an issue with their product.

Well done TTI!

Good to hear of a positive outcome! To those who mentioned aluminized coating, who does this anymore?? I had a set done in the 80's locally, and there still rust free today. The local place is long gone and I don't hear much about it anymore.

I have reused TTIs gaskets in the past without isues, those and MrGasket Ultra Seals(probably the best part MrGasket has ever made only bad thing about them is that they somehow managed to get the partnumbers reversed betwen 273/318 and 340/360 gaskets, may be fixed nowadays or might just have been a bad batch 10 years ago or so ) tend to be reusable forewer uless they somehow manage to stick to the head or headerlange they where sealing and pieces of them stay on one of the surfaces when parts are taken apart.

Asked a follow-up on re-using gaskets, if I have to order new just want to do it now because my local parts store won't have poly exhaust gaskets, just the header to head gaskets.
I think I'd buy my groceries, gas, and everything else from them if I could:

We will be sending you new header bolts, header gaskets, 3” collector gaskets & the reducer mounting hardware. You will not have to reuse anything other than the 3 x 2.5 x 9” long aluminized reducers.

The gaskets conform to the parts that they originally are mated to... If there were any 'mountains or valleys' that do not match up with the new ones, they will leak in that spot...

A new exhaust gasket set is worth not having to change them.... :BangHead:
