´68 Barracuda B/E&A Dash Bezel?

Review on their Rally Gauge Bezel anyone...
They cost less than the PG Classic stuff, but is glove box panel part of the B/E&A kit?
Doesn´t show on their webbsite.

Not sure what is included, but product is identical. Same company/supplier, PG is canadian and BE/A is American.
I've read here that PG customer service sucks.
 
Back when BE&A was still in business, the bezel did not come with the guage lenses or the green turn and red high beam lenses. The guage lenses were listed for another $195, can’t remember how much the little ones were. That made my decision to have my original redone, as it was $425 and GCAR polishes my original lenses and gave me new green and reds for the same price. And no, the glovebox trim does not come with the bezel.
 
Send it out and have the original redone. You know that the original one will fit without having to modify it. In the end, the price difference is not that great, it just takes time to get them back.
 
Here is my dash, redone by GCAR out of Washington state. All told with the work done to the bezel, glovebox door, and A pillar trim, which were vacuumized chrome in 67, I paid out $700, which also included shipping both ways in an indestructible box from Michigan to Washington. It was money well spent, considering the dash bezel alone was $495 from BE&A, which I hear does not have the best fit!

I don't have personal experience with the aftermarket bezels. I have read and heard that a little altering was required. It didn't fit/marry up to the inst' housing exactly right as received. A slight flaw may or may not have been corrected by now.
The originals are too often damaged or butchered or at minimum the upper brim line is wavy. Any repair drives up the cost of restore. A reproduction should look perfect even if the fit behind isn't perfect.
 
On my '68 cuda, new bezel from Classic did include glove box bezel even though catalogue seems to indicate otherwise.All lenses need to be transferred over and cigarette hole needs to be drilled.

I got the BE/A dash and could not be happier. I have no complaints on the fit and the best thing is it is actual chrome plate. The vacuum chrome plating on the originals was just too delicate for my tastes.

It is over plastic but is a hard plate and not the foil type that was used originally. How they did it, I don't know but when I was looking at it they told me it was an actual chrome plating and wasn't as delicate when it came to cleaning it. I can attest to that. I have had a restored one and this piece and this is much more durable.

Gotta love technology! I have a chrome plating pen, that when you use it flows just like chrome. I don’t know how, and was skeptical at first, but it really works! Nice dash by the way, I’ll bet it’s a pleasure to look at!
 
Plating over plastics is reasonably common. Often the part is is plated with nickel (known as a nickel strike) which is an electroless (chemical) process first. After the nickel is deposited, it is conductive and can be electroplated.
 
Isn't this really "vacuum decomposition" and not chrome? On plastics there is no copper, but uses an aluminum sacrificial anode to deposit the "chrome". No heat used. Or is there some new method?
 
I think the process you are referring to is vacuum deposition where aluminum or some other substance is deposited on a surface. I believe this is also a process to metalize the non conductive plastic surface prior to the chrome plating.
