I have a 73 scamp that I converted to a four speed. I also plan on installing bucket seats in the future, I started to price a body four speed center consoles, only to find out how rare they are, the ones for sale are waaaaay out of my budget. can a b body or e body console be made to fit ?
 
E's might be closer. The B body consoles are quite wide and real square and blocky looking. I would just be patient and wait for one to come up for sale.
 
If you already converted to a 4 speed which shifter are you using? You will have to have a console specific shift lever when you pull the trigger. Put in your buckets and have some fun until the console comes along. Start a wanted thread here. You never know what you may find.
 
There is a difference between the automatic console and the 4 speed console. Mostly because of that hump in the floorboard for the 4 Speed.
The automatic console can be modified to work with the 4 Speed.
I don't remember where I saw it but there is a template for cutting the automatic console to convert it.

Unless you are a stickler for originality, and if you are real handy, how about fabricating your own? Get specs and photos from a fellow FABO'r and you could even get creative. Aluminum and upholstery, plastics are available, even include a nicely finished wood insert of mahogany or something. Just a thought. I had an old neighbor who built hot rods and he was always building his own consoles, or customizing the stock ones.

IIRC there was one on here a couple of months ago.

yes, different for manul vs auto but can be modded as above

yes shifters are also different console vs non console

that will likely cost more than the console
