So today I got the booster and master cylinder mounted, as well as the pedal base located on inside under dash. Some may recall the pix of me and Fred his boy took in my shop here awhile back. I am an avid gym rat and have lifted weights for 40 plus years. I am not a small guy! To fold up and work under the dash suks for me. As I could not find a yoga master dwarf I folded up and took the plunge.
As a welder we wear the funny little caps for a reason. You spin it and cover your ear with the soft bill to keep sparks out of your ear. Yep I did not spin it and got a spark down my ear. There is nothing like sizzling inside your ear. The pedals are simply to long to fit under the dash so I cut them off and will sort out final configuration at a later date. They are quite thick so as I was cutting them I smelled smoke, figured it was under dash stuff.
Turns out it was me, now picture the aforementioned biscuit sized guy in a yoga position under the dash attempting to put himself out. Instantly raised up banged head on dash, tried to spin to get fire on top and got caught on sharp edge from unfinished tunnel. Spin other way and hit the paddle switch for the grinder that was unceremoniously dropped earlier.
Got grinder shutdown before it ate me then decided to put fire out in place. Got it out. Crawled out of car, shut off music and walked away from the car. Took hound in and made a drink. Screw a bunch of hot rodding today, I am going to watch football. Picture is my ruined sweatshirt.
