Yes, just try and grind as much of the galvvy away from the weld point as you possibly can. Position the weld area as close to a door as possible and put fan on high. Weld a little and clear smoke repeat as necessary. Wear a mask if at all possible. If not even a bandana is better than nothing. If you get poisoned it is about as sick as you can be and want to live.
