I’ve been saying for year it is possible to have a good 318, build what you have. But the majority everywhere love to chirp in and claim them a waste.
I just can’t always see spending $700 or $800 on a unknown quality used 340 engine and start machining from there IF it passes a sonic check. I’ve been on a budget before and I have found nothing wrong with the smaller engine. It has the predicable lack of torque in which you help by a gear change.
