Using two stock light springs in distributor advance, good idea?

I've seen that plate and spring kit. If the new distributor has a advance plate over 13 then I'll probably go with that kit. I'm not looking for every tenth down the drag strip but I definitely would like to wake up my 318!

There is no factory distributor that has a short enough advance curve, except maybe for the earlier performance setups. Something "pre smog" IE 67/ earlier. Even then most of us would like a shorter curve

BEAR IN MIND that factory specs are DISTRIBUTOR degrees so you have to double that to figure crank advance.
