What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Started shaping a access panel for the transmission bolts. Making a removable tunnel peice so I can easily get to the bolts.

I’ll be installing this reverse light today.... I couldn’t find information on the exact location, so I took some pictures of the dash, and X marks the spot.

Here's a quick shot of the trans bolt access panel.
Still gotta pull the gas pedal for the last 2 nutcerts, do a finish on the steel and swap out the hex heads for button head Allens.

It's not perfect but it's not terrible.

Still trying to finish the garage mini-split. Damn rain every weekend is overbearing. Least was able to get the outside unit mounted and hung and refrigerant lines hooked up and evacuated. Now if it stops long enough to get the electrical hooked up I may get some heat in the garage!

Switched the English wheel to the flat roller and got 90 percent of the shaping marks out. Put in button head Allen bolts and rerouted the shift cable.

This will make separating the engine and trans SO much better and considering that I'm about to pull the trans for a rebuild and custom stall, I think it was well worth the time.

:)

Assembly continues. Kickdown detent adjusted. Carb and fuel lines attached. Still need correct hose clamps for the oil breather cap. Sticker for air cleaner will go on after dinner. Good couple hours on the dart today.

For under 1k and pretty simple DIY, well worth it. Took about an hour to raise the temp from 40 to 75. Dont forget to buy a 1/4 to 5/16 adapter for R410A. Super quiet inside and out as well.

Got an Email back from Dakota Digital today with a rendering of what my gauge cluster will look like. I had posted earlier in this thread and a few of you asked me to post up when I get more info so here you go. I went with the stock look black face with white lighting and red needles. but I wanted a tach

It will look just like this except both gauges will be round and inset to the cluster. View attachment 1715228372

So I'm running a Magnum 5.9 with the EFI and full harness as well as the 46RE transmission so I was able to ditch the cable drive speedo and go fully electrical cluster

got some more front end parts bolted into place and then had to put the car and van outside for a couple of hours to clean and make room for a quick semi truck door lettering job. It was a good opportunity to snap a cool photo of the two of them outside in the frozen tundra.

Watching power steering fluid flow out the back of my steering box on my 68 GTS 340. Just one more thing to work on after sitting up for almost 30 years.

Well after dragging my feet for way to long I finally finished up my 572 engine last night. After I get it off my engine stand I will test fit my ATI powerglide bellhousing and starter and get it in the car so I can finish oiling lines and wiring. Lots to do yet but I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel

------------KICK *** ! WHAT DO UR B1 HEADS FLOW ?

They are in the 420 area there’s more left in the table but I had to get moving on this project. Heck I had the heads off 3 times grinding for 7/16 pushrod clearances. I took molds of the ports so I can play with another set of B1 heads I have sitting here to see how good I can get them when I have more time.
