Now now yall play nice. Haha but yes I see both sides. On one hand its good to buy right part for the job and there is nothing wrong with that. But on the other hand if you have a welder a perfectly good tc and some 360 weights why not make it work. Waste not want not! Be resourceful with what you have and save the 50 dollars for something you can't build.
Like a freaking valve spring tool! Haha

???? What are you wasting??? The perfectly good torque converter is being used behind a weighted flex plate?

It's perfectly ok to weld weights on the TC. This is smart if it's a one and done deal. Cost savings.
It's also perfectly ok to buy a balanced flex plate. That way that perfectly good TC can be used behind a perfectly good 318, 340, 360, 408, 410, 416, or buy a better perfectly good TC that's neutral balanced and it will work behind that balanced flexplate.... make sense??? It doesn't mean folks are lazy..... LOL.. sometimes it means they are smart :D
