I think his DartCharger was an early build and could be that was the only style available.

But then my air cleaner lid and oil filler top are not CA spec. They don't have the hose fitting. Either my car was sold outside California or someone changed it along the line...after 45-50 years, who knows?

I’ve had both the CA-spec and non-CA air cleaners/oil fill caps and other than the hose fitting, they are identical. Also The 65 383 4 barrel lid and some CA-spec slants with a 1 barrel base are identical except they were painted black
