That type of logistics is easily worked out. If I were you, I would get a Carter 2 barrel from a 318. Cheaper, easier to find and will add some power. Do you have plans to upgrade the exhaust? If you don't, you may as well leave the one barrel on it. But if you do upgrade it, you will feel a noticeable difference adding the larger 2 barrel. Get off that original jag and use the 318 carburetor. Even with original parts, it's still not original.
