Is a '66 dart center link the same in both slant six and v-8 ?
I swap slant 6 for v-8 and the oil pan is rubbing on the center link any help or suggestions
Back in Dec I posted and artical about drive line vibration I add 1/6 shines under both motor mounts and trans mount to get clearance and was told that possible could be my problem
Any thoughs?

There are definitely different center links. The center link for v8 has more drop to clear the oil pan. (A good share of the slant 6 66 cars got the V8 link though.) Raising the engine a tiny bit should not cause vibration but if you were on the verge of driveshaft misalignment anyway it could be possible.

I think in 66 they went to a straight for both. Did the shims do anything? I used 64 brick mounts, a full 2X taller than the newer sandwich style. Hammer time!

In a 66, there is indeed a difference in slant 6 and V8 centerlinks. The difference can be seen in this picture I took years ago when converting my 66 Dart.

Since both were "Non - Wear" items (4 holes - no wearable pivots), they were never made by any of the front end companies...
If you need one -- you have to find one in the "used"world...

In 67-up a-bodies, slant 6 and V8 centerlinks are the same. Not sure if your pan will fit though.
Well its the first time doing a big mod like this and since i do all my own work ( on every thing in life ) ill figure it out , live and learn , hey ! That could be my FABO slogan.

The drop link for early A bodies is now being repopped, but at a cost of over $200, maybe close to $250. I don’t remember exactly who has it, but it is one of the big suspension companies.

Wow! That’s spendy....

64-66 A-body V8 cars used a dropped center link and you will need one for your swap...67-up different.
