Did I wipe a lobe or ???

When you look at a used cam, you can see where the lobe base circle only contacts half of the lifter, from about the center to the edge. This is what makes the lifter rotate, as the cam moves across it, and helps it to wear evenly. This may extend up the ramp a little, but by about a fourth of the way up, the entire lobe should be contacting the lifter base. This is where the most pressure is, from about 1/4 lift to full lift. When I get back from Phoenix, I'll take a pic of a used stock cam lobe to show what I mean.
