I would like to uses a stock coil for my electronic ignition on my 1970 340 motor will it work

Check voltage to coil from Ballast resistor. Should be around 8-9 volts cold. It will change as resister heats up. If it is really low , around 3-4 volts cold , you have the wrong ballast resistor. I found this out when I changed from points to electronic ignition. I used the mopar electronic conversion kit.
