I am in fact going to be using this for myself. I have done countless hours of research on the subject and finally decided to tear into it. I have a pretty good idea of what I have to do, as I am not the first guy to do this. I’m not putting it on my high compression 440. But a 400 with a standard deck height and compression ratio, less the steel shim gaskets, and I’m still <8:1. I have a cam with a 110* lobe seperation, I know it’s on the low end a for blower but should be fine for what I am doing. If it doesn’t work, we will find out together! I’ve got a list of parts I need for the conversion. Mainly the gears are what bring the rotors in tolerance for the gasoline conversion. Some folks would shim them, but that is ill advised. I’ll have a parts and price list when I’m all done. The drive pulley system is what I am dreading driving the price up. I’m gonna try and talk to some tractor pull guys and see what I can scrounge up.
