does anyone use 100LL av gas ?

Having been an aircraft mechanic for 30 years I have run 100LL many times, in everything from my old red ram hemi to my current street driven 440. I usually cut it with some pump gas. It is an excellent gasoline. The only issue I could see with it is the lead fouling plugs, which I have never experienced, or wreaking havoc with a catalytic converter, which my cars dont have. Being in the industry and having connections to get tank drainings for free is a bonus. Anyone who says you cant run it in a car or at low altitude doesn't know what they are talking about. It is gasoline, and much better than the crap we currently buy out of the pump.

One other thing that makes me chuckle is when you hear on the news about a jet that crashed, and the dangers of the "highly volatile jet fuel" for crying out loud, it is kerosene and is much less volatile than gasoline. I used to run jet fuel drainings in my old Volvo diesel, again cut with a little regular diesel as it is more oily and the injector pump needs some lube. The car loved it and ran cleaner than on straight diesel.
