As i cleaned it, theres patches, but they look good. Sealer is garbage so i will need to clean out all the silicone and use real seam sealer.
Its been stalled for a while due to life in general. The bridge to town is going to be closed for 3 weeks, in november,so i think i will close for business and spend the time on much needed r&r. Repair and rework.

Bridge closed, people wont leave me alone, but i finally managed to get it into shop. Couple hours and shaped, flattened and reshaped the lower rear piece
On the wheel opening patch.
Im satisfied, now on to tying in the inside part of the fender.

Other side will be easier, and it should turn out better. Thats the side i look at anyway.

Im sure i will find a use for this soon enough. Wish i had one sooner.

Some call it a power file, or narrow belt sander. $59 well spent. I added the silver piece to extend it and accept a locally available belt.

Lol. Too much. At least its tacked in, back metal is cut off. So next is weld and grind. Center above wheel had a good size dent i didnt know was there until i chiseled off the filler. Worked 90%of it out and as i was tacking i made an oil can.
As the tacks cooled, it went away.

Gettin there. Both panels need a little roughing up then some filler soon..

Those panels were installed on a car. Very poorly installed. Owner removed panels and put them up for sale on kijiji.in Red Deer alberta. My nephew picked them up,and my wife went to visit and brought them home. Air miles covered the flight. The way my wife packed the panels made it oversize. So $80 to buy panels, then $135 to fly them home.
I got my sheet metal, wife got to visit family. Win win.
$230.00 usd per panel otherwise.

So a little off topic, but i need to share this here.
Its a royal pita to move car in and out of shop.
Have a battery powered trailer dolly and robbed the motor off of it,it has a chain drive.very much like a winch, but has a sprocket and a support housing.
I notched the sprocket and bolted motor to diff yoke. A bar to leaf spring to keep motor from spinning.

It moves car,with a 12 volt battery.

It works well enough to move car without something to drag it around.slow but steady. Im happy with the result.

Nothing on the car, but for the car. Built a rotisserie.
Roughly $500 spent and about 14 hours work. That includes the one jack. Will use the other jack from my shop crane.

They fit in the channels on my hoist. Will suit my needs.

Step 1 ,will it lift?a test.
Bunch of parts inside, checking to see how it will hold up. Seems fine.

Will empty car and attempt a roll today.

Rear mount is weak, once i have it back on its wheels i will have to beef up bumper mounting area.

that would make it so much easier to get some work done on the car. My boss has one I could use, but my garage is not big enough.

Beefed up rear brackets, should be good now. Time to put it back in storage for the week.

Slow going, pulled car back in and dropped diff and springs.
Welded in a couple braces and a few stitch welds to floor and frame connectors.
Replaced the front spring eye bushings. Some out of order photos. Having decent tools makes quick work. 30 minutes to do both.

Part of the front spring mounts were rusted through. Decided to cut out and repair. 1/8x4 to strengthen frame rail and a small
Box of sorts to replace rusted part. I used a die grinder,1/4” burr with a square end, to grind out spot welds.
