A buddy took the 383 out of his 70 Bee and installed a 440 (which is a bit taller). He has the factory fresh air hood that he wanted to keep. He used the old Edelbrock CH4B and it worked without modifications. With that intake, a 750, fairly mild cam, and headers his 440 dynoed485 horse and almost 500 lb/ft. Those old Edelbrocks work well.
