Hey,

the Previous owner installed a new headliner, but.....did not install the sunvisors. coat hanger hooks or dome light .....my question, has anyone removed a headliner without trashing it? I want to install these items and wanted to know before i order the headliner....thanks

Year & make of car would be a great start. Because otherwise I'm thinking Model T

Have you considered fishing for these screw holes with a sewing needle? If the headliner is put up right, I would go to some trouble before taking it down.
At sun visors, if you can find the first hole the other 2 will come. They aren't in a perfect triangle which does make it more fun.
Screw holes for dome lamp, both in the forward flange of the roof beam. You might need a fish tape to conquer the dome lamp wiring. I have used a speedometer cable for a fish tape. With a little luck the dome lamp wire will be there in the cavity of the roof beam where its belongs.
I never reinstalled the coat hooks but I know they are at a bump out in the metal about 3 inches rear of the shoulder belt bolts. The shoulder belt bolts right above where side glasses meet.

Pretty much everything RedFish said.

When I put the new liner in my 70 Dart I just used the feel method. You would be surprised how much detail you can feel through the headliner. The screws for the dome light were like 1/4 in long from what I can remember.

I took a few pictures, should have taken more, maybe this may help you locate a few places for your hardware. I used the blunt end of a Bic pen cap to locate most of the screw holes.
