How to rebuild your small block mopar, by Don Taylor. Prices on ebay and Amazon are through the roof. I'm fairly new to small block mopars, and this series of books was excellent years ago.

Ahhhh, sorry bro.
My bad.

Is t there an updated version by someone else like, Larry Shepard or somebody?

Are you looking for something specific?
Or just to own the book?

The Larry Shepard book is mostly magnums. I'm wanting it because I don't know dick about LA engines and I kinda need to. These really were great books. SuperShops sold them.

Many here know a good bit about small blocks. It’s all I ever really felt with. Cheap, popular, ez to get, lots of used parts available.

Ask, I and others will answer.

The Magnum is the same thing except minor differences. No head oiling. Heads have a different rocker system. Intake bolts go straight down. Timing cover has no provisions for a mechanical fuel pump.

A Magnum block would be a great foundation to a stout power house build.

Thanks! But I'm a sponge for things like engines. I've got a standard bore 340 (1970), and I'm gonna replace the cam in the spring. I'm just wanting to read as much as I can so I can ask better questions when it happens.

For giggles I checked ebay, $125 and up. Wow, must be a big demand for that book.

I have this 1. Kim

That’s the one! My first book. A good reader with lots of information on OE parts with really good step by step instructions and pictures on how to rebuild your small block MoPar.

This is a excellent beginner book that I still take out to assemble an engine because of the step by step instructions. It helps keep things in order. I don’t assemble engines a lot. But when I do, this is the go to. It has everything you need to refurbish and rebuild your engine and do it with confidence.

Yep. That's the one! Wanna sell it?
LOL, that’s not what you asked for but the how to books are generally all repeated information with possible updates within.

The how tomhot rod books have been updated slightly. Could have been better IMO. The MoPar books only mention MoPar parts where others bring the aftermarket into the mix.

I agree with others to keep checking Ebay. So so many people put up crazy asking prices hoping to retire on a single sale. Every now and then, as some here have suggested, someone who wants to sell one will list it and it can be purchased reasonably. I found mine at a local thrift store for two bucks. Of course if you want it now and can't wait it will cost more typically. I'll keep my eyes open for you.

LMAO!

I haven’t been in that book yet.
Loaner price is right!
I really appreciate your off

I appreciate your help. I really don't need it for a couple months, so I'll keep looking.

I have this one, I could loan it to you for a beer. When done ship it back to me. Pix attached. Apologies RF360 fumble fingering key pad hands are cold!

Thanks for the offer! But I'd really rather have the other one. I can still buy yours on Amazon for $23.
I'd really like to own one myself.

Many years ago, I bought the small block chevy version of this book and rebuilt a friends 327 with great success. It was my first engine build. That was around 1989, and that engine is still running strong. That's why I'm looking for that particular book.
