Can't play videos in posts any more?

Using MacOS Mojave (10.14.1) and Safari 12.0.1

Click 'play' on embedded video, it looks like it's going to play, then goes back to the image with the 'play' button.

Click 'show URL', same thing - back to image with play button

Any ideas what's going on? They worked until a few days ago
