Need to see any helpful post on this, pictures would help a bunch.

Thank you. Mike

The issue is that the flange faces forwards towards the steering box.

Thank you Jake, I have had some members say it can be used, I hope to see why and what has to be dun if anything. your knowledge is appreciated

I dont have pics but you can use them with manual steering. As with almost everything power steering is a no.

I "think" I remember seeing the 70 340 manifolds on an early A-body V8. They angle milled the drivers side and possibly shimmed up the engine? Don't remember the magazine, but there were two early A's shown in same article, one being a black Cuda, thinking the other was a Dart. maybe somebody else has the article they can scan and post here.

Hi Mike, had 360 exhaust man. on my 66 273 Barracuda... manual steering back in the day. Had dual exhaust from a 69 340 Dart. A custom section on left side

If that last post came up by me it was not me. Sorry my stupid computer does dumb stuff.

I was writing I've had early A-Bodies forever and it was always a hassle with the exhaust. By the time you are done you are gonna want to shoot yourself (if you value your time). If you have a 273/318 the original ones will work fine even with a 4 barrel. You can find them cheap. If you are looking for performance the tti's are the best thing out there and the price is reasonable in 2019 money. You can cobble the exhaust real easy to save some $ to start off with. If you are planning future improvements this is a good place to start.

Early '80s I had a '65 Barracuda with Commando 273/4-speed, manual steering, power brakes. I rebuilt the engine and put 340 exhaust manifolds on it. They fit but the ports were obviously much larger and the exhaust gaskets had very limited head surface to seal to, from what I recall (pretty dim memory that far back). And as stated previously, the drivers side outlet dumps in a less than ideal location (onto the starter wires if I'm remembering right). I drove the car with open manifolds to a shop and they installed a full dual exhaust on the car. The photos are circa 1981.

I have 340 HP exhaust manifolds in my 65. It was no problem with manual steering I changed over to power steering Mopar Power box wouldn’t fit so I used Borgesen box. It fit fine
