1965 Dodge Dart Charger convertible
Today I was able to add the ignition coil and the bracket back to the intake manifold. I found a date coded coil from 1965 and it will do the job.
Taking the steering pump apart I found out the the pump unit was painted as a complete assembly, not apart.
Since I bought this car I haven't had apart the heater and a/c unit. Now was the time and I quickly found out why it didn't work properly! Most gaskets were shot, air leaks here and there and the unit wasn't mounted properly. One of the bumper that holds the heater motor needs to be replaced. Anyone know if these ones can be bought new?
So next thing to do is to order a complete restoration kit for the heather and a/c unit from DMT. Excellent stuff.
Tomorrow the brake booster assembly will come off and then we are ready to take off all the paint inside the engine compartment. Life is good!
