I have some spare metal top from a 70 dart and I have a 72 demon with trashed doors

Is it possible to use the 23 dart doors on a 29 sport roof car if I remove the vent wing windows and use the window regulators and glass from the demon ???

It’s not quite that simple. The regulators mount in different places, and you’ll have to drill all the new mounting holes. There are also some internal, spot welded brackets that are different between the Dart and Demon doors that will have to be changed over.

I covered the differences in this thread, pictures etc. The skin and frames are the same, but it will definitely take some work.

Demon door?? Which others fit?

To muddy the waters even more..
I have a 73 Sport with bad doors and a 73 Swinger with pristine doors. How much headache am I looking at to transplant the Sport guts-n-glass into a Swinger door?

Not really sure on that one. ‘73 is a one year only design for glass and internals, and I don’t have any ‘73 model year doors of either variety.

You’ll just have to inspect them and see what the differences are. You won’t have any wing vents or mounts, so it may not be that difficult. But I don’t know that for sure, they could be harder to swap for all I know.

Thanks. I figure it's doable, look very similar but I haven't stripped anything out yet to see. I hope it ain't too big a job. Would be nice if it works out..Donor cars rock!

Oh it’s definitely doable, it’s just a matter of how much work it is. Even the swap I outlined is doable, it just might not be worth the effort. The skins and shells are the same, it’s just a matter of locating the mounting holes and possibly moving a couple of small brackets. But the spot welded brackets were for the wing vents that your ‘73 doors won’t have, so it may not be all that terrible.

Thanks so much. I think that is too much to go through when I can just buy some duster/demon doors

I am sure the mod isn't that hard and I am a welder and I can drill on a door but when I think of the other things I can spend the time on...…..

Thanks so much for the info :)

that was going to be my next question so thanks for bringing it here. I have the opposite, a 73 swinger that can use a door and all I have on the pile is a 75 dart sport door
