I have to put new spring perches on my d60 . The person who narrowed this housing for this 72 swinger did not weld the perches in the right spot. So no big deal . I bought some more from Mancini. Gonna cut off the old ones reweld new ones in the right location. Question is should I go ahead and weld them with some pinion angle in my setup. Or should I just weld them at zero and use the mp shims. All cars are different and I know that. The 71 charger that I drag raced my whole life we welded the perches on zero then shimmed it to 5 degrees down is what we wound up with. 10.90 car and had very consistent 1.50 60 times. I guess I have answered my on question really. Weld at zero and shim. But was just wondering if anyone has welded their pinion angle in the perches. I was thinking maybe weld in 5 degrees down and adjust from there if I needed to. I've haven't talk to anyone that didn't have at least 5 degrees down. I'm sure there is someone there always is. Just none that I know of.

I ALWAYS weld them with the pinion angle set to 4-5 degrees down on leaf springs and 0-1 degree down on a 4 link.

Anyone have an idea of what is recommended for Caltracs?

Don’t forget that ur trans may be up or down a few degree’s so u need to compensate for that. I run the CE slide-a-links. Kim
