Recently, every time I come to this site, I am asked to accept cookies. What gives?

Seriously, it does ask me the same question. I ignore it and log in and go about my business. Doesn't seem to be too big of a deal.

I prefer jujubes...
Jellybeans sometimes.
Any chance there is a setting that removes cookies whenever you leave the site?
I know there are such settings.

It’s compliance with the law - just click accept and move on

OK. Understandable, but I should only have to acknowledge that ONCE for each browser, not every time I visit the site. But never mind, I found a way to block them.

You need a bigger glass of milk.

If your browser is set to accept cookies in it's security setting it won't ask.
But if you have them blocked or the browser clears when you close it, it will keep asking.

I'm a Sys Admin with 20 years experience. I know how cookies and browsers work. All of the browsers I use are set to accept cookies, but this site and B bodies only both constantly prompt to accept cookies. I wouldn't have brought it up otherwise.

So your browser isn't set to clear the history when closing, or to ask every time about cookies?
I mean no offense by this so please don't take it wrong, but if you have a background in this and you seem to be the only one with this problem (or only one annoyed by it enough to ask about it) then it's completely possible that there is an option or issue on your end that needs attention to solve this.

Otherwise all of us, or a lot of us would be having the same problem, right?
I run the three most popular browsers for different reasons and don't have this issue with any of them.
