Performer RPM hood clearance

I don't have a Dart, but I am running the Performer RPM on my Barracuda with a drop base and an open air cleaner. It just barely fits! I tried putting a new hood insulation pad on and the hood wouldn't close, so I don't have much room to spare! If I went to a bit shorter filter, it would clear.
