Finally something Oregon is good for. No state sales tax. Technically if you live in a non sales tax state you can show your state id and be exempt from paying a sales tax if your purchasing in a state that has a sales tax. That said, anytime I have tried that in a sales tax state, 99% of the time the persons working the cash register is unaware of this law and thinks they are being scammed. Cant say I blame them, if they aren't made aware of this by their employer I would think it is a scam as well. So I don't even bother with trying to get it, it's not worth the .82 I save on a tank of gas passing through.
