I haven't looked at a 1bbl intake close in a looong time, and My memory may be fuzzy a bit, but You had better check to see if that carb base had the exhaust porting to heat it or not. Like TylerW said, You are causing a number of issues and possible headaches for maybe losing maybe 9# + or -... and the above comment about the jetting is also spot on. There are a bunch of different list#'s for both Holley and Carter 1bbls for a reason, there were changes that affected intake & carb temp and function that matter, so unless You're doing a matched carb & intake swap, do some homework...............
