Upgrading to electronic ignition after swapping to a V8. Trying to decide where to place the Orange box on my 68. Lots of leftover holes After I deleted the A/C and was thinking of placing it where they where.

Thx

That’s the spot I was going to use. But decided not to chop the A/C fittings.

I have seen people attach them on the underside of the battery tray to keep the engine bay clean.

I have run all the Chrysler ECU’s the “Gold unit worked the best for me”. I have tried MSD and Mallory as well, until I installed this! When I did run the Chrysler ECU’s they were on the right apron near the BB dizzy.

Best unit for me to date. It is hidden and looks stock to boot! No holes anywhere not expected and bypass the ballast from behind and most just see stock! Rev limiter included and multi spark like a arc welder every time!

This is why I looked for a better solution with the pertronix. All kinds of holes for the ignition modules and coils tried over the many years. Only the factory dimple spots for AC in Blue and Heater hose bracket for 69 cars in red not punched. I replaced that inner fender and it will not look like that ever again. It cost too much to fix it and was easier to replace then repair.

Make sure you use the Blue 69 and earlier Mopar #3690732 electronic voltage regulator or the newer style solid state regulator that looks like the factory unit you appear to have installed to get the most out it and keep it from burning up.

Edit:

Ok like all the stupid new medical commercials with if ands and buts. If you are running a pre70 round back alternator then the above applies and plug and play!

If not consider the 3690731 as an alternative with a spliced connector. It would appear from first glance all you wiring short of the new ignition box is stock.
