This was the potmetal license plate holder on my car. Car was built at the LA plant. Restored it as best I could.

I recently restored the one I have for my car, still looking for another one
The bottom was bent, careful work in a vice mixed with some bench work I was able to get it flat, probably took a couple hours.

Haven’t done any plates. Mine need work. May get to them later in my build.

Still looking for Van Ness Dodge in San Francisco or Northwestern Dodge in Detroit. Both dealers sold my GTS. Detroit when new and SF used not too much later. It would also be cool to find Westlake Dodge in Daly City for my son's Dart as it was sold used there about the same time our GTS was sold in SF.

Any luck on Ebag? Try setting a google alert for Van Ness Dodge

Good work on your frames. I've been looking for a good Claude Short Santa Monica Dodge for my 69 Dodge truck.

I found a Westlake Dodge one on Ebay. Was not perfect but looked great on my GTS.

Sometimes the patina on the frame suits the vehicle, I had paperwork showing this as the original dealer, located a pair.

I found a set of Van Ness Dodge frames on E-bay, but the colors weren't correct and they were too expensive for me at this point in time. I look from time to time. It's not a huge priority, but it would be cool to find some. This is the one that was on the car in 1983. It's been gone a long time and looks better in this pic that it actually was.

Never really thought that these things would end up being collectible. But makes sense. I’ll keep a look out for ya at the Fling in LA.

looking for frames from Smith Motors in Whitemarsh MD or Bennett Dodge in Clarksville TN

I have the Westlake Dodge frame on the back of my Dart. I like the original patina...

Do we still remember?
They're still in business in Signal Hill.
I drive by them quite often.
I drove by them twice today! Right next to LB Mini. They got in a bit of social media trouble recently. They botched an Ebay listing for a Challenger(?) and it ended up selling for like 18K, way below the minimum they forgot to set. Told the winning bidder your SOL if you think your getting that car for 18K, binding ebay contract or not. Lots of backlash and negative press. Wonder if it was worth it.

That is a whole lot nicer than the Van Ness one that was on my car in 1983. If you stumble across another or a pair I'd be interested.
These were behind the blue plates on my 1971 Challenger.

Very cool. Might be possible to repop those if one could be laid flat and scanned. Might also be easy enough to get close enough with a computer font and the "Dodge" script.

Since you are all on the subject, does anyone know where this dealership was? The car was bought new somewhere in cali, spent most of its life in LA. Then moved to somewhere close to Paradise ca. I've tried looking the dealership up, but I keep getting dealerships in Louisiana.

Right you are, Cuda Al. Been closed for several years and vacant until maybe four or five years ago. Now occupied by a successful auto body shop.
