While the USPS Flat Rate Boxes are a decent deal in the shipping world, they're rarely suitable for car parts. The cardboard itself is thin and rips easily, and the boxes are too small to hold much -- especially when you have to add "the 3" of collapsible material" required to conform to their insurance requirements and expect your buyer's claim to be paid when it shows up damaged.
