Any idea where to get those little square grommets that fit in the door hinges? I could probably make them, but would rather source them at the proper size if they are reasonable and available.

Thanks!

The foam looking stuff in the hinge holes?

That is seam sealer to keep water out.

Just squirt some in right before you adjust the doors & get them in place before it sets up.

Grumpy Pete,

I am trying to picture what you are looking for- clear as mud for me.

If it is the white foam thin material behind the door hinge to the car’s post... I used a foam pad and trimmed it down typically sold by Home Depot or hardware stores to tighten up electrical boxes between the covers and the outdoor box. A edge ground on a 1/4” piece of tubing and a hammer will cut the gasket on a piece of wood easily.

If I am off track I appoligiese. Alaskan_TA May have put me on the wrong frame of mind with his reply. He is a Super source of reference.
Put up a picture of you can of where you are looking about.
Good luck-
Joe

I do try to be accurate. ;-)

Here is a photo from a driver side upper hinge on a '63, but models into the '70s that I have taken apart also used seam sealer.

You can see here how since it was applied as a thick fluid, (seam sealer) some squished out at the front & top of the hinge;

Yes! okay "I SEE THE LIGHT!" or lack of light due to a good sealing door hinge. LOL!
My 66 Barracuda had a foam insert- maybe installed by others before my time.
I've just duplicated that on everything i've torn apart.
OKAY, OKAY! ill stop stealing the thread. Jeez! Back to you Grumpy Pete.
