Help with glass reinstall Marion (columbus) Ohio. Striking out

Hello all,

Im in a bit of a pickle. My painter pulled out my window glass, and now i cannot locate a shop that will reinstall my glass on such an old vehicle. Its a 74 scamp. Im in marion ohio, and called a bunch of columbus area shops, and they all refer me to erics auto glass. Erics has Not been helpful, and borderline rude with my inquiry. They will only do the front (pending what day of the week i asked)

I have my undamaged glass, and brand new seals/gaskets.

Can anyone point me in a direction? I would gladly pay a member anywhere between columbus, and youngstown with glass experience to help me out.

Thanks in advance
I agree with the posters that say do it yourself.

I installed all the glass in my 74 swinger by myself with no help at all with absolutely no damage or leakage afterwards.

Go down to the glass shop and talk to the oldest guy you can find. He will probably gladly give you his advice, while you are at it, ask him for a couple of their glass installer sticks. They are made out of plastic and the dude gave me a small hand full for free.

Put the rubber gasket in first, then get your glass started on one side, then SLOWLY and surely work the rubber over your glass with your PLASTIC ONLY tools. 1/32 of an inch at a time is awesome progress. Before you know it, the rubber just gives way and the glass sits home.

Once you get the glass in, and before the lube is drained/washed away. SLAP THE HELL OUT OF YOUR GLASS. With the palm of your hand, all over it. The vibrations will allow the window to even out the load, and will prevent a nasty stress crack on your very first ride. ( I learned this the hard way with an 86 D150 windshield...)

For me, I started with a perfectly clean, freshly painted channel with no rust holes or damage. I used ZERO sealant of any kind and my seal is perfectly tight. maybe I got lucky.
